I Love Ellen

I have always loved Ellen. She's hilarious. She's also one of the bravest women on television. She came out when it was accepted at all. She came out on her television show and showed what life was like coming out at such a late age.

I love that she found someone she loves and who loves her back. Ellen and Portia look so happy and in love. They belong together.

One of the authors of Leisha Hailey Fan Blog posted the following video from Ellen's show.

My favorite thing about the whole video is in almost every picture, if Ellen isn't looking at the camera, she's looking at Portia. I really hope they last. Ellen deserves some happiness, so does Portia.

Pictures of a Wedding

So, as my previous post stated, Ellen and Portia got married this weekend. Well, I finally found some pictures from their small wedding at home. Unfortunately, none of the pictures are of very good quality, but something is better than nothing at this point I believe.

I just love Portia's dress. It not a typical wedding dress, but more princess like. It helps create that happily ever after feeling.

Here, Ellen and Portia seem to be posing for pictures.

This picture is by far my favorite of the three, it shows them smiling at the camera, seemingly the happiest they've ever been.

First comes love, Second comes Marriage ...

Ellen and Portia have tied the knot!

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi got married at their home in Beverly Hills last night.

According to an article on Yahoo!'s homepage, Portia wore a backless, light pink dress, with her hair in a loose updo and Ellen wore all white, pants, buttoned up shirt, and vest.

Portia has credited Ellen with helping her come out of the closet. "My feelings for Ellen overrode all of my fear about being out as a lesbian," she told the Advocate in September 2005.

Portia has said the first time she spotted Ellen, the comedian took her breath away.
"That had never happened to me in my life, where I saw somebody and [experienced] all of those things you hear about in songs and read about in poetry. My knees were weak," Portia said.

In 2005, Ellen said she hoped she and Portia would be "together the rest of our lives."

"I never would have thought my life would have turned out this way," Ellen told Allure. "To have money. Or to have a gorgeous girlfriend. I just feel so lucky with everything in my life right now."

When seeing the happy couple together, you can tell the two are truly in love. Earlier, I posted the video of Ellen announcing their engagement on her show. Portia, who was standing in the audience, looked like she was near tears.

I am very happy for Ellen and hope she and Portia a happy, and log marriage. Ellen deserves a little happiness and I'm glad she finally found some.

Here's the video of Ellen's announcement again:

I'll post pictures as soon as I see some!
